Brett Patterson and Rohan Saparamadu have joined Geely as chief designers, based in Shanghai. They will both report to the company's design director Ken Ma. Patterson most recently worked as a contract designer at GM Europe's Design Center, Rüsslesheim, and has worked for GM for total of 14 years on a wide range of vehicle development programmes in Australia, Germany, Sweden and USA.

BMW has already scooped CAR’s green award for its Efficient Dynamics eco package being rolled out onto its current range. But at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show, the Bavarians will unveil their vision for the next generation. Dubbed Vision Efficient Dynamics, it’s an X5 equipped with the latest gizmos to reduce the amount of fuel you put into the tank and the gases pumped out of the exhaust.
At 660 hp, the Ferrari FF matches the horsepower output of the 2002 Enzo, becoming the most powerful production Ferrari ever. The company built just 349 units of the Enzo from 2002 to 2004, while Ferrari plans to build about 1,000 FFs a year. Other technical innovations introduced by Ferrari on the FF:
